Goodleg Toys' War on Prehis Commercial by Can Evrenol (2013)

There's not much to say. If you've been following this blog, you might have heard that I started to release my own toys some time ago. Now this happenend!

Mighty Warsaurus (Chap Mei 1990s)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Bucky O' Hare, Cow-Boys of Moo Mesa, Cyboars, Earthworm Jim... Street Sharks, Dinosaucers, and Extreme Dinosaurs... If you take a look at the kind of stuff that came out throughout the 90s, you'll come to the conclusion that mutants, especially cyborg mutants, were pretty popular during this time period. The 90s were also heyday for all sorts of cheap knock-off toys jumping the bandwagon.

Battle Gaze Homophobos (BigManToys 2011)

If you're under 18, please stop reading now. If you won't get the point of a MotU bootleg with an ultra gigantic penis, please don't read any further either. Because what's about to be revealed now, is the "Real Mature Stuff".

You probably know, that I've gotten into resin art toys. One of my favorite artists these days is Lee Burbridge, the mastermind behind BigManToys. He's got famous for his Treegarr figure, which is nominated for the year's best resin piece at the Clutter Designer Toy Awards. Treegarr is a sick figure, and I hope it gonna win! (Even though "toy awards" don't mean a thing to me.) But I tell you what. The piece I got from BigManToys in the mail today is sicker! It's called Homophobos, from the Battle Gaze line, Lee's early creative period.

Trip to Bootleg Heaven Part II (Tenerife, Spain - Fall 2012)

Before I'm getting busy with other stuff again, here's the promised "Trip to Bootleg Heaven Part II". I'll shed some light on a few more rad bootleg and rip-off toys I came across during my stay on Tenerife last fall.

We've already seen those great Marvel & DC mash-ups, and Wrestling bootlegs in the last entry. I found these in the huge market halls on Tenerife that are rammed with the cheap and most toxic China stuff. So as I got high on cheap plastic fumes while rummaging around in those gigantic boxes for the cream of the crap, this weirdo was suddenly looking at me:

Trip to Bootleg Heaven (Tenerife, Spain - Fall 2012)

Wow, I'm getting lazy again! Almost 4 weeks went by since my last update?! Tempus fugit! About time for another entry! Well, let's see what we got ... Actually loads of toys that're waiting for getting reviewed on here. Maybe I should just start writing entries on more than just one toy or toyline at a time. How about that? And I'm totally in the mood for reviewing some garbage today!

Monster (Sungold 1990s)

Thanks to my friend Rainer Engel (yes, the comic artist!), I recently got my fingers on a complete set of Sungold's Monster. I'm superexcited, since I've been after these dudes for quite a while now.

Monster is a Universal Monsters bootleg line, and was assumingly released in the early or mid 90s. There's no year shown on the cardback. But the design of the figures and the artwork look totally 90s to me, and at some points remind me of the Toxic Crusaders action figures by Playmates.

The Shadow - Ambush & Ninja Shadow (Kenner 1994)

While the sun keeps shininig outside, I've got nothing better to do than sitting inside my hall of geekness and write another toy blog entry. That's just me.

Anyway, today I wanted to shed light on another toyline I came across last weekend: The Shadow by Kenner, from 1994. The line was based on the superhero film The Shadow, starring Alec Baldwin. The character was originally created in the 1930s, by pulp novelist Walter B. Gibson.

Tales form the Cryptkeeper - Zombie & Frankenstein (Ace Novelty 1993)

Like I promised, I give my best to fill this site more often again! So, I thought it's about time for another update on Toywalker's Blog.

Last weekend I've been on the hunt again, and found some pretty cool stuff. Some very rare Hook figures, Terminator 2, El Corros (sort of Zorro knock-offs), a few The Shadow figures, and two Tales from the Cryptkeeper (TftC) figures. All MOC! I'm sure gonna review a few more of them on here. For today I wanted to start with a closer look on TftC Zombie and Frankenstein.

Mini Ninja - Tiny Visible Warriors at Your Command! (Remco 1986)

I'm so stoked holding them in my hands again, finally, after all these years. Remco's Mini Ninja were one of my favorite toys back in the days. TRU had them, along with the more popular AWA Mini Mashers. They were just 4.99 DM. My grandparents got me a set of both the Mini Ninja and the Mini Mashers. I have very good memories of these days, where I've been hanging around at my grandparents' house, playing with my Remco mini-figures all day. Yes, those were the times!

WotU Recast Edition (Goodleg Toys 2013)

It's already been two months in 2013, and still no update on Toywalker's Blog? IMPOSSIBLE! I got to change that!

Well, it might be too late to whish my readers a Happy New Year. But it's never too late to give you guys some insights into what I've been up to in the past weeks. Following the success of our WotU customs last year, my mate Pablo and me from Goodleg Toys spent almost every day in the studio to put out our first resin bootleg release - the Wrestlers of the Universe Recast Edition. The first pulls dropped in January 2013. And since everybody seemed to be most excited about our translucent blue casts, we decided to do a larger run of them.
