Warlords of Wor - Bog-Nar (ManOrMonster 2012)

There's going on alot these days within the DIY toy scene, especially when it comes to muscular 5.5" figures. This scene is sick of the same old bullshit at retail today. And while the attempt of redefining MotU is leaded ad absurdum by Mattel, I'm happy to see independet artists creating their own toys in the spirit of classic muscular 80s lines such as Warrior Beasts, Lost World of the Warlord, and Conan.

Bog-Nar is the first release of the Warlords of Wor series by ManOrMonster?, aka the freaking talented Brandon Michael Barker. I've been totally excited about this line right from the start, when Brandon messaged me about this prototype he's been working on. A Remco based DIY line, with interchangeable parts and magnets?! WOW, I was so down! After I read the outline to WoW I knew that I'd be needing all of the upcoming 7 figures of the 1st wave. Not just to own some of the most outstanding action figures of our time, but to collect all build-a-figure blind bags that are packaged with them. All these blind bags combined will result into Dekay, the main villain for the WoW series! Too bad it has always been the bad guys I'm after, hah!

I assume pure economic calculations (or maybe brilliancy) leaded Brandon to the decision to start his WoW series with Bog-Nar, The Mutant Muck Menace! With a kick ass figure like this in the pole position, he will get every serious MotU KO collector hooked on his stuff. Seems legit to me.
