S.T.O.P. VS. S.C.U.M. (Greenbrier 2010)

Some time ago, my friend Jonathan (YoJoeNathan!) from Texas sent me some of the sweetest (that means ugliest - lol) GI Joe KOs I've ever seen.

The line's called 'Special Tactics Operative Patrol vs. Street Coalition Urban Militia', or simply S.T.O.P. vs. S.C.U.M. They've been distributed in the US by Greenbrier International Inc. The line is a registered trademark of Homieshop. I've never heard of them, but found some other cheap toys they did on the web.

The figure's scuplt and paintjob are beyond trash. Apparently the body is molded from plastic, except  for the arms, which are made of some sort of rubber. On the box it says 'fully poseable, weapons included'. I actually can't tell how poseable these guys really are, since I don't want to open their precious bubbles. But I can tell one thing for sure, the so called 'included weapons' are molded within in the hands. Good thing actually, since it's impossible to loose them this way - hahah!

What I really like about the toys is the post-apocalyptic background story. 'Ater armageddon and the collapse of civilization, the world fell into the hands of evil warlords known as S.C.U.M... [Their] mission is total anarchy on a global scale... In time people revolted, forming their own security force code named S.T.O.P..., tasked with freeing the world of the evil S.C.U.M. forces that have taken the world by storm.'

Sounds familiar, eh? Well, if you're a trash cinema & bad taste toys enthusiast, and always wanted to see the GI Joe universe turned upside down, then I suppose you're also going to like S.T.O.P. Vs. S.C.U.M.

For the completists: Apparently the line consists of only 6 figures in total, 3 on each side. So, I guess it's pretty easy to get them complete. Jonathan sent me Lady Lead and Skull Hawk. Yup, right - if you take a closer look, you' can see that the Skull Hawk I got is packed with a Patriot inlay and a cyclops cardback. That are two errors on one MOC, which is nearly impossible to make! I'm convinced my piece sure is going to be worth thousands of dollars in a couple of years! Well, so far there still is any dollar und S.C.U.M. ain't plundering in the streets. ;)
