Fire Dragon (Remco 1982)

Like I said, I'm a huge fan and defender of bad taste. Hate the good, like the bad, love the ugly! The ugliest dudes are just good enough to get the love of the Toywalker! So does the Warrior Beasts' Fire Dragon.

Remco gave birth to the Warrior Beasts (WB) action figures in the early 80s, jumping the bandwagon of Mattel's MotU success. The steed was sold "exclusively" in a playset consisting of the Dragon and a WB action figure (that was regularly Ramar. It was shown with Guana on WB cardbacks, though) . There's not much known about the Fire Dragon. Besides that at least two versions of Fire Dragons existed (one with a ruff, the other one without).

Rappin'-, Sewer Surfin'-, Skateboardin'- & Shell Slammin' Mike (Playmates 1990-91)

PotA Cornelius 12" Figure (Sideshow Collectibles 2004)

It's here, my first Sideshow "toy" I ever owned, the 12" Cornelius "action figure". A lot of adult collectors got into Sideshow Collectibles these days. They're amazed about their detail and quality. They seem to be right. As a sucker for the Planet of the Apes (PotA) movies, this 12" Cornelius is one of the most detailed and valuable PotA "toys" I got my fingers on so far. Though, I'm not quite sure wether to call it a "toy" or not. I think "collectible" is just the right term, since those quite pricey action figures (not even sure if this is a proper term here) are made for being displayed - no more, no less.

Sideshow's 12" Cornelius comes in a nice layouted box, giving us an introduction on the PotA universe and the character. I suppose everybody is familiar with the PotA movie's plot. Anyways, here's a short summary:

Weapon Assault Drone (Hasbro 2011)

Spring is here, and I'm having fun with my new Iron Man 2 Weapon Assault Drone 3 3/4“ action figure in the park. (While people looking at me awkwardly.)

I actually didn't like the movie that much (the 1st one was far cooler). But apart from that, some of the Iron Man 2 toys from Hasbro look freaking sweet! (Besides that Battle Drone, I got my fingers on a War Machine - which I might review lateron).

M.U.S.C.L.E. (Bandai / Mattel 1985-87)

Wer A sagt, muss auch B sagen.

Toxie (Playmates 1990)

'Toxic Cruhooosaders, Toxic Cruhoosaders...'
